Tinder, the popular social media-style dating app, just unveiled a hot new logo update.
It’s not a completely new design, but rather a fresh look for their iconic flame mark. And like so many brands, they chosen to forego the wordmark, and let their flame take center stage. They also introduced a vibrant new color gradient in lieu of the old orange tone, for use across their website and mobile app.
Updating an iconic logo is always a risky move, and Tinder is likely to take some heat over this one. But give it enough time and I’m sure everyone will love the new design—just like when Airbnb took severe criticism over the launch of their current logo back in 2014… eventually people came around to love it!
