Accounting, organizing effectively, and file managing are essential parts of running a business.
But they’re usually not first on my list of exciting or interesting tasks to check off the list!
So, to streamline some otherwise tedious tasks and complete them as efficiently as possible, I’ve made use of several online platforms. If you work for yourself and are getting frustrated with details like invoicing or keeping your projects organized and scheduled, I’d definitely recommend taking a look at some of these services to see if they’d work for your business needs!
I’d also like to note that I’m not receiving anything for endorsing these products — they are simply services that I employ and that have saved me a lot of time and frustration.
FreshBooks is an accounting and invoicing software. It’s secure, intuitive, and easy to use. Their platform makes invoicing incredibly simple with options for billing by the hour or by the project, for requesting deposits or giving discounts, and also offer flexible payment options for clients.
On top of this, it features a single dashboard for managing all income and expenses, provides itemized expense tracking, and generates a variety of accounting reports.
File management and sharing can be messy and confusing though email — Dropbox makes it convenient and organized. Dropbox allows you to create shared or private project folders, and comment, upload or download straight from their platform.
Slack is an easy-to-use communication platform. It’s quicker and cleaner than email and makes communication chains clearly visible and easily accessible. Slack also has lot of additional features such as file sharing, private group discussions and topic-based discussion channels.
